Perched above the idyllic Bay of Islands, our one hat-awarded restaurant is guided by the moana (ocean), whenua (land), and the vines of Paroa Bay Winery just below. Sage offers a refined coastal dining experience and thoughtful expression of New Zealand cuisine.

Our menu celebrates seasonal produce, including some grown in our on-site gardens. Each dish balances creativity and restraint, allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves. With views stretching across the vineyard and out to the bay, every element reflects a deep connection to place. Our menu is paired with wines from Paroa Bay Winery, grown, made, and bottled on the estate.
